5th gen 2.0 to 2.2 front caliper upgrade

Post by yorke58 » Tue Jun 15, 2021 6:38 pm

Hello

I've had a quick scan over old post and I couldn't see a answer if the 2l calipers are different to 2.2l?
I've get a 2.0 5th gen. I've upgraded the discs to 282s and put 5 stud wheel hubs and put accord dust guards on it.

Cheers.

I'm not sure about the actual calipers but you'd need the 5 stud (282mm) carriers at least (if you don't already have them)

Yeah so larger carriers. Just been on rockauto.com found some powerstop red powered coated for a 2.2 litre and I’m sure all 2.2 are 282 discs.

Cheers

2l front calipers are different to 2.2l ones. Rear calipers are same on 4th and 5th gen. Main issue is 282 front calipers wont clear standard oem 2l 14&15" wheels.

Been looking at 17s alloys with lower profile tyres but nowt silly.
So not just a deeper carrier but different calipers. Rockauto supply's for 2.2 so hopely they'll fit.
Cheers

This is nice! I'm having a very quick scan through and to the guide. I've got on mine honda accord dust shields. Might help someone in the future. I've ordered the calipers off Rockauto. So il 100 percent be using this guide!
