So the rear brake caliper seized again the other day. So I took it back to my local garage where they replaced the caliper with a spare I had.
I told them I had braided brake hoses aswell.
But I have a feeling they crimped the lines to stop the fluid when changing the caliper over.
What damage will this have done the the braided line?

in theory, (hopefully) none ..unless for some reason there is a solid pipe inside the braiding where they crimped it.

Without seeing the hose it could anything from perfectly fine to drokked. But I dont see the point in crimping it as since its a brand new caliper it would need to be bled anyway, regardless. A bit of rag would have stopped the fluid from dripping on their floor.

You put a placcy bag & laccy band over the reservoir & the fluid goes nowhere.

Crushing pipes is bodgery.
