I have a set of wheels i want to DIY refurb which have a diamond turned lip & edge on the spokes.
Like this:
How easy would it be to polish up the silver which is pretty badly marked/corroded?
Alternatively, would it be better to sand then paint the lip? Maybe colour match the car or just go all black? Or even carbon wrap the lip/edges?
By the way, the black part of the wheels are in excellent condition and don't need touched.
These are gonna be my winter wheels so perfection is not going to be the goal, cheapness is
I am on night shift this week so please leave loads of suggestions for me to mull over when i get up
Thanks all
PS, they will be going on my S which is Nordic Mist (silvery/blue)
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

This. I need to get the lips on my wheels done, I've been quoted £60 a corner.RattyMcClelland wrote:They need Machine cutting back. I never touch diamond cut wheels and refer them onto a cutting specialist.
