I think its best to use the whole 5th gen knuckle, with the drive shafts needing spacers as the 4g drive shafts are shorter. There isnt much info here, I asked the same question months ago. Have a read of this:

why do you need the 5g drive shafts?
wont the 4g drive shafts do?

no the hub nut will fall off the thread before it tightens up meaning either washers to go over the cv joint threaded end or use the 5g driveshafts

i dont understand?
i got 4g drive shafts in the 5g and they were fine
or is it because the 4g is slimmer then the 5 where the hub sits so a washer is needed...
maybe i need to make the mistake to understand
im going to play with the rears before the front cuz its still an auto

4g drive shafts into a 5th is fine as the 5g has a wider track the difference will be there to see when you try to bolt up the hub nut
