5th Front upper brace

Post by Bio » Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:34 am

Hi guys,

Thinking I might get a front strut brace for extra bay bling and maybe a minor improvement to handling so I was wondering which to get?
Ebay special?
JapSpeed (looks the same as the ebay specials anyway?) ?
Or save for something like the Tanabe?

What are your thoughts?

I had on eBay one, to be honest it worked well. I'd try and save for something better tho.

I bought a type s one, but can't fit it yet as I only have 3 stud top hats and you need the 5 stud ones. Something to watch out for.

With the S2000, upper & lower braces improve the feeling of impending breakaway which is necessary because EPS is dead & ruins just about every modern car. They're an absolute must.

The 'Lude's hydraulic steering has such superb feel, I'd be surprised if it improves it much. Or is it the additional rigidity that improves the already stunning cornering?

If you go with an eBay one, there's some bodging to do, moving the reservoirs to make room for the brace.

Neuspeed one looks good and I think that's the best one but it's almost £150+ . After that it's the Type-S (JDM) one but you have to get the JDM top hats. Or if you can't get that then just get the eBay one. :)

Hmm ok. Well moving the reservoirs probably isn't too much of an issue realy.

That's the one I meant as an Ebay special..

http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Honda-Prelude ... p-7-1-154/ is the Japspeed one which looks pretty identical to me?

As much as I would like the others, I think they are a little too rich for my blood at the moment :(

these are ok but be warned, the ends are both left (or both right, i forget) and you need to put torsion on it to make it fit. not best imo. save and get a 'real' one and feel the difference.
