Currently on 205/50/16 which i believe is the out of the factory size.

205/55/16 are considerably cheaper and 45/16 a little cheaper. Has anyone used either of these sizes and noticed any difference in handling ? Or should i stop being a cheap skate and just pay the extra

My other idea is to swap to some 15s for ultra cheapo tyres

i prefer 50 profile as less road noise and a bit more forgiving when going over potholes

i suppose also dependent on the stiffness of the sidewall on the chosen tyre

I did have 205/55/16 for a good few years. No ill effects with handling or speed indicated. Dropped back to 205/50/16 now though, as it looks better after the wee drop the Koni's brought with them 8-)

on my wife's lude i have put 205 55 on front and 215 55 on rear. 16" alloys from a Hyundai coupe f2 evolution. Handles fantastic. Car Not lowered they do look like balloons though.
