Just wondering what pressures you all tend to use on track?

Car is a stock 4ws 4g on 205/55/15 T1-R Toyo Proxes to be driven on a somewhat damp Castle Combe tomorrow ;) :?

Cheers

Chris

IMO stick to road pressures for in the wet, 32 PSI when cold. Heat wont as easy get into the tyre and you'll be driving slower than in the dry resulting in lower hot temps. If you have a pressure guage adjust if you think they are too high when hot.

Sounds fair

I can then adjust the rears by a few psi either way depending on how it feels.

With a stripped out rear end it feels quite lively at the back end on the road (in the dry) using stock pressures

Got a feeling the weather tomorrow is gonna have me crying out for a slip-diff box

I usually lower pressures a few psi depending on track conditions.
As soon as i get in from a session while tyres are hot i adjust them to close to oem pressures.

So many factors affect what is the optimal PSI to run, weather, tyre size, tyre sidewall stiffness, car setup, driving style. Without a pressure guage it's impossible to get it right. In the dry with my RainSports I start at 30PSI cold and adjust from there. With the semislicks its 25PSI from cold.

I start at 26 PSI on my ATR on a dry track session.
