Would these scrub up?

Post by jjmartin349571 » Fri Jul 13, 2012 1:38 pm

As per the title, with tools I'm likely to have around the house. I was going to buy part worn tyres locally to replace my 'slicks', but thought these could kill two birds with one stone?

For my Golf and not the Lude :D

Cheers,

I reckon they would. Spend some quality time with fine sand paper. Pushki has done his Lude alloys a few times and got them mint again from a similar starting state.

This will take a good few hours sanding per wheel! As long as it is only really surface rash, they should come up ok :geek:

Has to be done I think. Will whack a bid on tomorrow if they haven't crept up in price, what with the pennies being tight. Had the Golf a year now, surprised I haven't got a set of these sooner  Let's just hope the house move tomorrow doesn't make me forget to bid!
