Anyone swapped a steering rack?...

ive recently had the steering rack out off mine to re-seal it along with the pump but i had most of the engine bay out at the same time aswell as the underneath so not quite the same but i can imagine it would be quite a slag without removing everything. i was doing a cam belt and clutch change among other things and spotted the rack leaking a little so did that whilst it was in pieces.
