4g 4ws to 2ws HOW TO guide?

Does anyone have a guide to swapping from 4ws to 2ws?
My bro & I have been busy spending (wisely we hope) on our track project & will be acquiring a 2ws rear subframe to compliment the Dampertech coilovers from Rich @ PAW.
Aim of the game is to strip it out & get the back-end more pointy before adding a diff & going for more power!
Any guides/links etc would be really handy!
*EDIT*- especially any hints tips on removing all the wiring & preventing any warning lamps illuminating...
