Yes they will be fine, I was running 225/45/18 on my red one before I sold it, it did just catch but only on the front at full lock and very slightly, with an inch less in radius you should be golden. My red one was on a 40mm drop, infact the black one in my avatar is the same, 225/45/18 40mm drop.

I'm running 215 45 17 lowered 45 mm no issues at all

All depends on rim width and offset people. No-one ever seems to question those, yet it makes all the difference.
I used to run that size tyre on 7J rims with an offset of 35 (which is small, but not unheard of at all on a lude). Lowered 35-40mm on just the front and I used to VRRUUUUUUPPPPP with dips in the road at speed with a bit of weight in the car.

Ahh in that case the lude I had was only lowered by 30mm at the front as they were Eibach springs.
I'd say you should be ok. Just be weary of loading up the car too much. This was when my rubbing issue became obvious.

Mines rubbing slightly on lock on the 15's mind you they are a 65 profile and are huge .lowered about 150 mm aswell lol. Need a step ladder to get in it on the chunkys
