You should go 225 wide if you want 45 profile.
Stick with 50 on 205 wide.
Do a tyre size calculator on loogle.

3.35%. At 70 on 50-R16 you would be doing 67.66 on 45-R16

This is a site I saved in my favourites.

The "ratio" so 45 is a percentage of the width (ie 225), which creates the wall height. So the physical dimension of a "45" ratio tyre varies depending on the width. Just so you know ;-)

Yeah. Good point Nafe. I didnt know what width of tyres you were looking at so used 205 on both to give you an idea of the comparison.
Edit: 205-50-16: 70mph would equate to 69.71mph on 225-45-16.

If you pop out of your Speedos you might get arrested.

I wouldnt. You will compromise the handling and it will look absolutely pants.

Ill compromise the handling? Please explain, lower profile tyres = less tyre roll, and im on coilovers too, front and back strut bars with 2WS conversion. I cant see how 45 profile instead of 50 profile will effect my handling at all ?

Not this again...

The Prelude camber caster etc etc is all tuned to work with a 4" side wall (205/50 or 225/45 or 245/40)
The tyrewall is part of the suspension.
A lower profile tyre will increase response but will loose grip and stability in the corner.
215/45 or 235/40 is a good compromise.

205/40 or 205/45 is just plane skinny.
