Lude Generation

Charged my battery and started the Type S for the 1st time in a few weeks, After 1 miles i noticed a slight faint knocking fron the front, front left. I pulled over and the noise it rotational in knocking with the wheels and not the engine. Its more noticable when i turn right.
So i carried on with my jourey in hope it goes as i though it may be the arch linnings.
But no its gets epically worse after a few hundred yards and its so loud and i can feel it.
I seems to die down when i accelerate but as soon as i lift off or ease off the pedal its knocks constantly. I also feel it through the wheel and im sure its more pronounded when i turn right.

Its a scary god dam aweful noise. I made it home.

Visual inspection reveals absolutely nothing.

I will jack the car up and start the car and see if i can locate the noise with the wheels spinning on jacks.

Possible CV joint? Driveshaft? Nitins rhythem stick?

Sounds exactly like what happened to my old Swift... noise got worse and could feel it, not long after the driveshaft came out.

Will check if i have play. I just over the moon its not engine rev related.

It does it all the time when driving no matter what except for when accelerating. If i accelerate hard and the change gear it make the noise during gear change. When i easy off i bangs, when i turn and keep constant throttle.

i wouldn't eccelerate hard again if i were you, you sure the wheel nuts are tight? hub nut bearing, bottom joint. firstly check wheel nuts, jack car up and check for top and bottom joint play. grab top of wheel with one hand and bottom of wheel with other and push top pull bottom alternate the push pull action. then try the same action side to side to check for rack play as it is in the air. make sure the car is on a pair of stands and both wheels are in the air. coz of the atts system both wheels need to rotate i believe. start car and select 1st gear and let the car idle with the wheels turn and check for your noise, abs and atts light should also go on, so expect it. the system resets after the ignition is turned back on.

Wheels can turn independantly with ATTS although there is some resistance.

This reminds me to jack up my car tomorrow and see what the squeaky noises are coming out my front passenger wheel!
