Morning Ludies, Im still on the great debate of if i should pay the money and get coilovers or just get lowering springs. But i came across the skunk2 coilover sleeves and some similar.
Has anybody ever used these? for the price they seem to give you the best of both worlds. i know that lude will never be a rocket and be a track machine but i still cant decide.

Cheers people

Not a great idea if you need to attach them to the dampers, as you'd need to do cars like the Prelude.

Many use coilover sleeves on the front of Mk1/Mk2 Escorts, but these have inserts for the dampers, so you can remove them and weld to the uprights without risking damaging the dampers.

Most of the cheap coilover sleeves use generic springs so they are not the right spring rate etc. This means you get a really bumpy ride and they actually make the car handle worse. If I was you I'd bite the bullet and get the coilovers, especially if yoj are going on track.

I put some on my first Prelude when a standard spring broke - worst, most dangerous purchase ever (even worse purchase than when I bought an Alfa Romeo) lasted 2 whole days before I ordered Koni Yellow dampers and Ground Control springs.
