hi guys.
I've heard that you need to grease your polybush once a year. is it true ?
Reason i ask is i have a creaking or clicking sound coming from the front of my car and cant find where its coming from .
It only does it when braking or going round some corners.
I've had the car up in the air and nothing feels loose . at first i thought it was the brake but have checked and im sure it isnt. Does anyone have any ideas ?
cheers Jon

the red ones need greasing more often than the black ones which are supposedly impregnated with grease I think

the black ones are impregnated with graphite to lower the squeaking, not grease I believe.

The main thing you need to do is clean the salt and grit from inside the metal sleeves. its this that kills the bushes as the sleeve corrodes and this abraids the poly. Get into them with a pressure washer to wash and rince them clean then attack with halfords silicone grease spray if not removing from the car. If you are gonna do it right then you need HT silicone grease, the stuff that looks like 3000 year old spunk and wont come off your hands and you need to take them all off and clean them up and see where you need to apply. If you are going to do a yearly though i would say that just a good spray and grease on the car should do.
