track pads on back
is it worth spending the money on back pads for are track car [raceing pads] or for they money we could get 3 mybe 4 sets of road pads. the man at honda r says he wouldent waste his money on the back ones says just get half decent road pads as it only breaks like 15 20 percent. im thinking of which u would get longer out of we had road pads on the back and hawk hp plus on front. the back are completly away and front are 2 at the passenger side so they lasted about same time 3 to 4 track days. the breaking was very good 2 so do i need to spend the money on the back? really what im saying would uprated ones last say 2 to 3 times longer than road ones

Yeah Dino had them on his rear but if remember correctly he was also running larger callipers on the front, which ipso facto means the rears were made to work harder too.
For a stock set up a normal road pad will be enough.
Durability of pads, especially the rear, is always going to be a problem on stock discs and calipers. The rear discs are small and not vented, the heat builds up easily. When I last put new discs and pads on the rear of the track car the bells of the disc went blue with heat.
How often are you going through discs and pads? Both on the front and the rear?

I bought and fitted Dino's old hawk HP rear pads for precisely that reason- more fade resistance and durability when they get hot. It's a fairly usual problem that Hondas suffer with poor brake cooling in my experiencesMerlin wrote: Durability of pads, especially the rear, is always going to be a problem on stock discs and calipers. I still get a longish pedal after a short period on track- heat transferring to the fluid & boiling it no doubt- must give them a bleed soon

Must invest in some better fluid thinking about it
