5G Rear discs and pads!!

Post by nitin_s1 » Tue Jun 11, 2013 8:27 am

Hi LGers,

Where's the best (Oem and cheapest) place to get Rear Discs and pads! I'm assuming the 5G VTI/H22A8 are all the same as the Type-S!!

I've got some Mintex discs for the front so need some similar ones to match the front. I don't want grooved or drilled!!

Thanks

Nitin

The rears don't tend to do as much work as the front, so I'll put my hand up and confess I tend to use ebay for the back brakes on mine. Currently running Mintex stuff, as I won an auction cheap, but have used these guys in the past with no issues:

Is that for the front as well?

Nah I have Honda OEM pads on the front with (if I can remember correctly) mintex disc's.

If you are paranoid get Honda OEM rear pads. They are around £36 a set from a dealer.

Not really paranoid about the rear pads, as everyone says that they don't really do nothing..

I will get OEM pads for the front as well. 8-)

Cheers everyone <3

IMO OEM pads are a decent blend of price / performance / brake dust. I have had comparatively expensive pads that performed good but were obviously expensive, and mega cheap pads that over heated and did nothing but kick out dust.

Cheaper pads on the rear are ok IMO as they don't get that much of a workout on a road car.
