Brakes are one of the Preludes weak points, they need yearly maintenance or they will seize up. The more regularly they are maintained the easier it is to keep on top of them.

I dont understand this. Are you able to give a more accurate description?
IMO the 3 main resaons for sticking brakes are:
Sticking slider pins
Sticking piston
Pads have rusted into the carriers
It could be that all you need to do is get a slider refurb kit and some new pads, this is the cheaper option. Otherwise you may be looking at getting a whole new caliper, while "easier" it is more expensive, you'll also need new pads anyway. Really though it doesn't matter what you get if your garage is only doing a half assed job.
