so friday i picked up my first lude a very tidy LOOKING 5G. iv since notice when braking from speed the steering wheel judders quite violently. now since doing about 40miles in the car iv notice a few things 1) not doing it as bad as it was to start with 2) after applying the brakes hard at speed the judder gets alot worse then slowly eases 3) after leaving the car 5-10 mins and then driving again its almost completely gone...untill u start braking again.
now id like to think im quite car savvy.... just not with ludes and iv never seen seen a problem like this, im thinks the pads might be glazed as the car had been sat for a while the disks were a bit skabby when i picked it up, any advice would be much a great help.

Get a new set of discs and pads on there. If its been day a while there's probably some high spots on the disc from surface rust. It's also quite likely that the discs are also warped.

usually this is warped discs
I recommend the brembo blanks, some cheap brands will warp

nice one cheers lude-dude but i cant get my head round why it would completely clear up after being left for 5 mins and if you stick to a reasonable spead 30-40mph you dont get it :S

New discs will cure it.

Warped discs are a myth. Get a wire brush to discs & pads - problem solved

Check your caliper slider pins are nice and free otherwise yr new discs will warp again. It applies pressure on 1 side of the disc otherwise.

Sacrifice a white cockerel in a chalk circle at midnight.
Or some of these other suggestions.
Seriously, good luck with it.

cheers Doggo i sacrificed a cockerel and a young blonde virgin last night just to be sure and on my drive to work this morning its still doing it - think i might have to try cleaning the disks and pads up and if no joy replace them - not much life left in them anyway.
