Better to swap both Rear Hubs?

My rear offside bearing is on its way out. Having just changed the caliper, disc and pads its annoying but hey ho! Is it an easy job to swap myself (did the caliper etc) and doesnt require a special tool outside of my Halfords set? Also is it worth changing both at the same time or change as needed?

at the least you will need a bearing puller as it comes off in one unit or you could get a secondhand hub then it just unbolts from the back of the upright

Yeah you'll need a puller, I ended up paying to get it done - it's listed as an hour job.
Nothing to be saved by doing both together, just wait for the other one to go.

Is the hub/bearings not bought as one unit? I was hoping it was a bolt off and swap jobbie

no the bearing goes on the stub axle which in turn bolts to the upright if you get a secondhand hub then you can just bolt the lot on
