brake fluid
What brake fluid do people use in their ludes . Mainly the people who go on track.
On my last track day I got really bad brake fade and thinking this could be down to my brake fluid partly . The pedal hasnt felt the same since even though I have new pads and have bled all the brakes. I use comma dot 5.1.
Anyone got any recomendations .
cheers Jon

brake fluid wont effect brake fade.
Brake fluid boiling will cause the pedal to move further or offere less resistance.
Brake fade is the firction materials getting soo hot that they are unable to convert the kintetic energy (speed) into heat so even though you're pressing the pedal as hard as normal the car doesnt slow.

When I got the brake fade I was running grooved discs with standard pads . The brake pedal is quite spongy and not very responsive . I now have redstuff as my bro has greenstuff in his track car and the brakes are amazing so thought id give redstuff a try . The brake pedal is spongy from the moment I first use them.
I have atr calipers with the ep3 300mm discs .
I have ordered caliper repair kit for the front calipers aswell as they look like they could need it and hoping it might help
