There doesn't seem to be a guide to fitting polybushes.

I've read Ammo's guide to remove the OEM bushes.

Is it possible to fit them myself? This will be a project over winter so in no rush, and was thinking of getting a set of arms from a breaker to fit the bushes into then swap these onto the car.

Any advice?

I found that a bench vice and a big flat piece of steel or two to use as levers and loads of that nasty sticky lube they give you. Really just an afternoons swearing and grunting. Getting them out is a bit more so but not so bad once everything is off the car. thats the worst bit imho. taking everything off the car once its been there a million miles.

To remove the rear trailing arm bushes you just need to blow torch the rubbers out as the poly use the old steel sheath.

The car will feel so much different once you do this.

like lll said easier to install poli then remove parts from your car. You will spend more time removing oem bushes then installing poli. Personally I think there is no easier job with suspension then installing poli

its the removal that's a pain in the ass the bushes just slide in after that

All I do it get the arms off obviously! Hole saw at a low speed with coolant so there's no toxic smoke and then hacksaw through the metal surround, trying not to go to far though. Then use a pin punch or parallel punch to hammer them out.

A safety note, burning rubber is toxic and makes a serious mess, I don't recommend it.

Blow torch and a mask on the rubber imho. Thats fine for rednecks so its fine for you

I used a hack saw on the sleeve we couldnt press out. put it in the vice and gently work your way through it. Soon as you part it it will come out easy enough.
