Fitting a Hydraulic handbrake to a 4g lude?

I have my reasons for this

But it seems it's not as straight forward as I had hoped. Generally there is one brake line to the rear and you just T into that
But the Ludes have 2 brake lines, one to each rear caliper AND the master cylinder outputs to opposite corners so I can't just T into that either.

I have a single cylinder Hydro, been trying to do some research to see how to get around it.

Found this

Basically going from 2 to 1 and 1 to 2

But no idea if that would work or even if it's doable

:o You can't want a lude handbrake that actually works, surely?

With that setup, if you had a lock up on one rear wheel, you'd either lose braking on both back wheels, or neither?

Why not fit 2 cylinders in line so the rear brakes remain independant but link both cylinders so they're driven off the one handbrake lever?

Cos twin cylinder hydro's are 3 times the price of single ones :(

As and when I fit my NSX rear calipers I'm going to have to go hydraulic handbrake to, but I don't like the idea of 2-1 1-2.

What hand brake are you considering using?

did exactly that on the bag o sh1te. you get a very slight delay on it because your pushing twice as much fluid through one pipe, easy to get used to but it delays both ways, half a second after you pull it it locks and half a second after you loose it go it releases itself but i got used to it. just 2 t pieces one either side of the cylinder.

... And just hope a Prelude caliper doesn't seize ;-)

Cheers, that seems the most simple way

Further reading it's the "dual proportioning valve" that splits the fluid between the front and rear corners. Do other cars use this system but have a front/rear split?

Thinking I could change that and run the hydro off the master cylinder and then into that valve, that might get over any delay of the 2to1,1to2

Damn, my googling seems to come to the same conclusion, front/rear split is done by the master clyinder

Damn you Honda lol
