RED TOP 200BHP VTI BLACK MANUAL £1150

Post by HondaVTI » Tue Mar 12, 2013 7:55 pm

Honda Prelude 2.2 VTI Motegi Kit £1150 ono

• Rare red top engine 200BHP
• H22A8 Engine has the same airbox as the Type S released in Japan
• Rare manual 5 speed close ratio sports gearbox
• Full Motegi body kit as released by Honda
• 17” Type R alloy wheels – look amazing on this car
• Bullet proof VTEC engine always maintained properly
• 4 wheel steering – works perfect, great for tight turns and stability
• CD Player and AMP/SUB connections in place

• 6 months MOT and 6 months tax
• 2 keys - original red key plus the black
• Full service history included cam belt change, put a quick list together below
• 143,000 warranted miles

• Electric sunroof, electric heated door mirrors
• Heated front seats low/high settings
• Cruise control, Power steering
• Air conditioning, wood trim

Selling my trusty reliable Prelude after owning it for 5 years as I have bought a new car, will be sad to see it go.

Red top engine Preludes were produced in the later years of production, they are much faster than the black top engines, plus the manual gearbox is better than the automatic again faster as a short ratio sports gearbox.

Bodywork is generally tidy with clean arches and sills etc has a few scratches and stone chips, plus had a blend in spray job, can do with a compound polish to look even better.

Mechanically this car is perfect I cannot fault anything on it, all it needs is an electronic door fob but it doesn’t bother me, I use the key.

Service history

December 2000 Serviced at Honda 22382 miles

Have also done some oil changes myself, rear wheel bearing was changed last year too, this car is immaculate. Recent parts fitted:

• Brand new front brake discs and pads fitted last month

MOT records from 2008 onwards included.

Any inspection welcome.

I have changed the price to £1150 i need the money urgent that is the only reason i'm selling the car, i need to sell my M3 Evo too :-( The passenger door had a small dent near the wing mirror because a cyclist went into it! Anyway i got it sorted and had the car blended in at the same time, the guy said bring the car back for a compound polish on a small part of the door to brighten it up. To be honest it looks good anyway but i think a polish on that area will help it look better. Just being honest about everything, the car is in very good condition overall. I tried to upload pics but it don't seem to work. The car is advertised on pistonheads and on autotrader too. The link is below if you want to see pics, its black:

Thanks Rob it is a nice car, i used to have a 1997 auto vti and i thought that was fast, but the manual gearbox and red top engines are way more faster! The car is amazing compared to the older models, i will be sad to see it go but maybe get another one some day.
