I know a lot of people are very happy with the auto Ludes, and if I'm honest I've never driven a Lude with an auto box.
I think the Legend has put me off autos though, because as nice as it is, at no point have I ever thought to myself "I'm glad that it's an auto".
She's fine on the motorway, but around town it feels quite cumbersome, and I do feel that is partly down to the transmission.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

no not really its great in traffic very docile and non tiring, but when i floor it it wont change up until the redline. Dragging away from the lights i get away faster than a lot of cars while your balancing the clutch and Gas i can sit there and then just put my foot on the floor
and leave like i spilt the proverbial boiling water on your cat.
The tip side of the box is a bit of a revelation really the engine spins up like it has a lightened flywheel almost too quick which is why i think the tip side causes a lot of the auto boxes demise as you can buzz the box quite easily you really need a shift light if your using it to drag.
On a track though its got to be a manual as that will show the limiting factor of the autobox.
