Would it not be a straight MOT fail with that steering wheel?

Are racing steering wheels an MOT failure then?

I am pretty sure any car that had an airbag from the factory needs the airbag to be present and operational to pass an MOT.
AA wrote:Supplementary restraints

The vehicle will fail the test if any airbag fitted as original equipment is obviously missing or defective.

The vehicle will also fail if a Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) malfunction indicator lamp indicates a system malfunction.

My 5th gen has the OEM wheel and my 4th gen is a pre-facelift BB4 import. My 4th gen didn't come with airbags and even if it did the MOT testers database does not list the BB4.

Ah right fair enough then, I bought a after market steering wheel but realised I couldn't fit it cause of my 4ws and cruise control so I have to find a boss apadpter with both of these but I might not bother now.

Hah sorry for robbing that one

Im a tester and the way i know it with air bags is if it aint fitted and the light isnt on then no reason for refusal as its not obviously missing... "test as presented"
Its the same as if theres no rear seats or seat belts, even though they were there out the factory, if theres a seat there its got to have a belt, but no seats obviously no belts needed
