I've seen they are remaking Evil Dead for release next year too. It will never be the same. Dead before dawn, dead before dawn.....

Film looks good IMO.
But i do love the original. Arnold is the shizzle. Bad actor but iv watched and enjoyed all of his movies.
Kate touched me.

I have to agree with Ratty.
I don't see this as being a direct copy of the original Total Recall so it should be taken as a film of it's own in it's own right. A bit like The Itallian Job. I almost cried when I heard they were re-making it and it would be with BMW Minis and set in the US. I love love love the original film but I also enjoy the re-make as it is a different take on the story altogether.
This new Total Recall actually looks like it might be ok

i liked the remake of true grit but you cant compare them you have to watch it as a different film if you rewatch some older films/programs they look weak and you wonder why you ever liked them

I was going to mention True grit but I've not seen the new version yet.

John Wayne, True Grit... on every Christmas regular as clockwork just like the Great Escape at easter when I was a kid. Those were the days.... 3 (and then 4) channels to choose from and a betamax toploader video if you were lucky
