Hey guys,

Ive found a 5G JDM Import in really nice good shape but I am a little baffled by the engine bay..

I wanted a second opinion, the clocks are the import ones with 127 KM which is like something around 79k Miles.

Check out the engine bay, am I right in saying this is from a 4G?

Should I stay away from it or do you reckon I might have issues?

That's an F22.
They were sold in 4g's and 5g's in JDM land.
So that's all original.

It will be the JDM 5th gen SI.
Merlin in the Wiki wrote:JDM SI or XI BB5 & BB7 Versions

The JDM SI & XI both use engines stamped with the code F22B, despite the engines having a different output. The XI uses an SOHC F22B with a compression ratio of 8.8:1 that produces 135bhp, the XI was only available with 2 wheel steering (BB5). The SI uses a DOHC F22B with a compression ratio of 9.2:1 that produces 160bhp, the SI was available with either 2 wheel steering (BB5) or 4 wheel steering (BB7). The SI & XI both use a 4 stud wheel pattern in 4x114.3. JDM Preludes came with rear wind screen wipers, except for the Xi

I did wonder, I didnt think it was a 2.2v - These must be pretty rare now then but not as desirable as the H22?

The guy has offered it to me for £580 plus an MOT. I have no idea how much these are worth lol

I think I might have seen this one when it flagged up in a saved search, looked ok for the money. If it was any cheaper I'd be seriously tempted to buy it just for the engine, I've always had a bit of a pipe dream of turbocharging one of these and sticking it in the blue Accord shell I've got knocking around.
