I met Mr Setright on a few occassions, when he paid our shop in Isleworth a visit. He was a rather tall strange looking gent with that long whispy white beard (Gandalf comes to mind) and mildly eccentric so say the least! He wrote about all things automotive on both cars and bikes, and these were usually of a technical/historical nature. One of his most thorough works,THE GRAND PRIX CAR 1954/1966 first published in 1968 by George Allen and Unwin contains many period colour & black/white pictures and technical drawings of the then modern day formula one cars.

Setright was always fascinated by all things technical and he saw that the Honda company were right at the front pushing forward with its automotive developments and he was a big fan of the Prelude, I had a conversation with him once about his admiration for the standard alloy wheels fitted on 4th gens, he believed them to be both aesthetically and structurally beautiful!
