Not sure if anyone has talked about this on here, but been working from home these last 2 months and the PPI and VOIP calls we get during the day has been driving me mad. Breaking me off working to answer the phone to them. So, I googled for a device to fix this and found this... http://www.cprcallblocker.com for £39.99 delivered. All the reviews were great so I've bought and installed it, and I can only say wow!! Peace at last.

This product does require you to have Caller Display or Caller ID enabled (free with BT / £2.25 from Virgin) for it to work.

You can additionally program it to block Withheld nos., International, area codes, single numbers, but it is preloaded with 200 known problem numbers etc. so you can just plug it in.

Anyone who does get through, who you want to block, you just press the "block call" button on the device, before you pick up the call or during the call. Simples.

A £40 cheaper option is to ignore the calls. If they needed you they would leave a message.

Interesting, we get loads of nuisance calls so much so I've stopped answering the phone

or do like i do. i live 12th floor of a towerblock the second i say this they hang up in a flash

or i just shout no and hang up

I do like my gadgets though...

there is a list you can register with online which makes it illegal for these companies to contact you. Since i signed up I've had no nuisance callsvand it was completely free. i can't remember what site it was now but I'll post a link if i can find it.

TPS - telephone preference service, free to sign up and opt 'out', has got rid of a good 95% of them for me I reckon

Really? The odd one I have had I have told them it is against the law to call me and that usually does the trick - though I did have one guy I had to tell to 'go forth and multiply..'

yeah that's the one. works great for me. if you get any cold calls just tell them its illegal to phone your number and they brick it lol, i should imagine they would then remove your number from their system.
