How to check if your insurer has correctly listed your car

Just had to tax my lude and they've added 2 useful links on the first page of taxing online.

There's a link to the MOT checker, but also a link to check if your car has been correctly listed on the insurance database. I didn't know about this service.

nb: it's free to do a check on your own vehicle, but you have to pay £4.00 if you want to look up whether someone else's registration is insured... :hurr:

ANPRs are linked to the MID, so as long as your reg no is showing as insured, then all should be good and you won't get flagged up by the boys in blue.

Awesome find :)

My car IS showing as insured on the Motor Insurance Database today.
The details on the MID are:

Vehicle Make/Model: HONDA PRELUDE SI (JAPANESE IMP

...so I have a Japanese Imp!? Isn't that some kind of little monster/demon?
