Influx Magazine - Dad Cars

Post by DAN_ADRIAN FLUX » Wed May 30, 2018 12:12 pm

Hi ladies and gents,

We just wanted to let you all know about the latest edition of Influx Magazine, the motoring mag put together by us here at Adrian Flux.

This time we reminisce about the ordinary cars that our Dads would have driven.

Let us know what you think.

was there ever a sadder car than the austin alegro?

My old man had a 1976 C110 skyline, or a datsun 240k as it was sold here, so I think I was spoilt on jap metal from the start.

He did also have an SD1 rover as well though, so no accounting for taste....
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

First car I remember my parents having was a yellow Chrysler Alpine
Then a metallic brown Mazda Montrose 626 (great car)
Then a metallic green Audi 100 5E (2.2l straight 5, LOADSA grunt)
Then a blue Citroen CX2000 (immediate buy after the Audi steering snapped and drove him into a block of flats)
Then a metallic green Citroen CX 2400IE Pallas (his favourite ever car that he wrote off on a tractor)
Then a metallic grey Citroen CX25 GTi (which was a money pit and I still have)
Then a red Nissan Sunny N13 1.4 5-door (that was passed my first gf)
Then a Xedos 6 (this was late on when I was at university and I never even went in it)
Then a Mazda 3 BK - that he still has, I believe

So yep, pretty much all jap or Citroen

:? not a Honda in sight though

I was given two books one Christmas: My Dad Had One Of Those and Worst Cars Ever Sold.
There are 10 or 11 which feature in both books!

Needless to say, I've had about 15 of the cars mentioned.
