Hi

No, it's not the same, but it's a very good fluid and the most popular choice we have for Hondas.

Cheers

Hi, what oil is recommended for a 95 4th gen with an LPG conversion? Circa 80k on the clock..

I've just noticed your phone number and realised that I already get my LPG from you guys in Redruth! Is the discount still available for over the counter purchases?

Hi

A 5w-40 synthetic is the best option.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS NT/CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XFS, Shell Helix, Fuchs Supersyn and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.

As a budget choice, a 10w-40 will be fine and I would either go for the Fuchs XTR, Shell Helix, Millers XSS or Motul 6100

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-657-10w-40.aspx

You're welcome to collect the oil from us at the discounted prices.

Cheers

Brilliant, thanks for the info :D Another quick question though if you don't mind - I've had this Prelude for 8 months or so now and have only put £25 bottles of oil in it, 5w-40 still, but cheapo stuff from Mill Auto.. and obviously I don't know what oil it has been using in a previous life, so is the £55 oil going to prolong the life of my engine more so than another £25 bottle? I imagine as they are the same weight, any oil that I am currently using (burning) will be used at the same rate regardless of the price/quality of the oil? ..but of course, I'm probably wrong..
