My driving instructor made me drive on the magic roundabout on my second lesson, he was astonished to how well I negotiated it. still amazes me how even accomplished drivers get the lanes wrong.
After all its just a series of separate roundabouts.

Indeed. The first time I tried it I remember just plunging in without thinking about it, with perfectly reasonable effect.
That is good form on your second lesson, though.
I just love that they actually built the damn thing.
Excuse the thread-jack, but incidentally, and for anyone not familiar with this thing of awe and beauty....

I think i went over it every lesson i had! I went over it twice on my driving test.
It's awesome, you can get to any exit by any route, great for skipping all the newbies queuing up by going anticlockwise!

Here's the one in Colchester - a little larger than the one in Swindon, but same principle.

yeah there are quite a few of them around what would be cool is to get all the ludes together and get them going round and round all the mini roundabouts and the central one
