whilst out at sainsbury's yesterday i met up with a mechanic friend i knew years ago and hadnt seen in 12 years. we got talking and guess what? he has a 2.2 vtec. now he bought it for £200 from a woman who could not afford to fix it, so he bought it.

i saw him again this afternoon to talk ludes

BB1 chassis, but it confused me a tad. its a bb1 but has the ukdm numberplate surround and black block on the front. the chassis number plate is strange though..

there is a ukdm bb1 as well as jdm ;)
that one has had some parts added the main thing being the gearbox.
m2f5 gearbox is non lsd fitted to the h22a5 in the 97 and 98 gen5 :o
may have had a whole engine transplant at some time or just box m8.

if it was an edm wouldn't the fog light on the rear bumper be the other side? as they drive on the wrong side

its gotta be EuDM as its the france BB1, and afaik the M2F5 box was 4th gen only, the M2V5 was 97-98 5th gen

some french do buy and drive rhd
that would explain the rear bumper or swapped?
i can't be sure but i think my old 2.3 ukdm had france on the plate, you will have to get someone on here with a ukdm bb1 to check their plate ;)
