This is the 'Bullies in Need' Passat. In a nutshell, Bullies in Need are a rescue charity who specialise in the rehoming of bull terrier type breeds. The girls who run the Staffordshire branch are so dedicated to the cause, I thought I'd make their car look a little bit nicer

She's done over 180k so has seen more than its fair share of stone chips, kerbs, bollards etc, and is showing a few battle scars. Todays aim wasn't to get correction, more to cleanse and tone so to speak, as there is a good few days worth of work to get the RDS etc out.
A few befores:

The steelies:

She had a bath in citrus prewash, with some TFR on the lower half. Once done here, she was bathed using a 2BM wash utilising Autoglym BSC and my Megs washmit.
She was then clayed for the first time in her life after having some hefty tar deposits removed using Autobrites Tar and Glue remover, and boy was there some tar! The clay pulled off a lot of sap and other contaminants, consistant with the 14yr age of the car. Windows were clayed too, as there was a fair amount of sap on them.
With time pressing, I cracked on with washing the wheels using a 1:10 Very Cherry mix through a foaming head. Arches were washed using a strong APC mix.
At this point, I pulled the Autoglym SRP from the box of tricks, and gave her a once over on the DA. Again, this was more of a paint cleansing exercise, with any filling a happy by product. Next I polished the glass using the old faithful, Autoglym Glass polish.
Finally, all black plastics were treated with Chemical Guys NLTG, tyres and arches dressed with Autoglym tyre dressing, and the paint waxed with Dodo Juice Diamond White.
Afters:

They have a few plans for her, something to protect the rear bumper when dogs enter/exit the car, new wheels, and some paintwork on the rear end where it's looking a bit tired. They were chuffed to have her looking clean and tidy!
