B&Q random orbiter and a set of meg's soft buff pads (cutting, polishing,finishin) FTW if you are talking home use.

whole lot for £50. for a budget its done me amazingly well. come see my paintwork if you like ;)

I've got the DAS-6 pro and it's a great bit of kit. Have done 3 cars with it now, and a mate is using it on his 2, all with great results!

cheap but cant see why not. it might not have much torque though. so you would get variance across your polished surface.

I have some ludicrously expensive air driven ones at work that have built in waterfeed etc. TBH I find my one at home which is a £40 silverline electric one from toolstation easier to use. Massed of power if you need it but also really slow and gentle if needed. Heavier than the air driven one but much more controllable.

Just be careful with rotary polishers - as said above it can go horribly wrong in seconds :shock:

As aldo said above go Random Orbit if you are not sure - if you go rotary go slow to start with and to begin with keep the panel wet and cool. Eventually you will begin to feel if you are working it to much in one place. They begin to sort of "bite" on the paint.

I have the silverline rotary one too. Cheap as chips but quite nice to use as you say.
