I was going to follow these guides when I get round to fitting my boot struts:

I bought the "BMW 3 Series E36 1992-1999 Coupe Tailgate / Boot Gas Strut" from http://www.sgs-engineering.com as I understand that is a good fit and pressure level for a Prelude with a spoiler on the boot.

I still need to buy some of the ball-stud brackets then fit them to the metal part of the chassis behind the rear seats.

@cebul - are you possibly able to post a couple of pictures from your boot strut setup as I remember you made a good job of that.

As a temporary fix.. wrap the torsion bars in tape so it stops the vibration between to metal (bar and the metal body) :idea:
