De-Tango-ing 3rd Gen Rear Lights??

Alright Peeps,

Wanting to get rid of all the orange on my car ultimately, and was wondering what the best way of achieving this would be?

These are the bits I'm talking about;

So;
- rear light clusters & centre assy
- front indicators
- side repeaters

What are my options?

Of course, there is the facelift rear assy;

Very nice, but I want to keep the same shape lights as I currently have..plus I'd need to change the bootlid too. So that's out of the question.

The front indicators are orange, but the sidelights right next to them are smoked..as you can see in the 2nd & 3rd photos. This is what I'd like all round really; that smoked look. But I can't find anything online anywhere, for any of it. Same goes for side repeaters. :roll:

There's always this;

How do I get this? That would do the job. :) But I can't find them anywhere! :evil: :cry:

Anyway, not sure how to tackle the task really, but I'm sure it can be done. After some ideas if you've got any? It has to look classy though - as if it came off the production line looking like that. Don't really want to be using coloured film, or fly-eye stick-on stuff cos I just think it looks cheap. (imo).

Pulled this off tinterweb too;

How would that have been achieved? Or did Honda ever make them that colour standard? If not, just wondering about what technique was used. I'd settle for red at the back, but could also use a similar technique to smoke them perhaps?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

Merc's answer is what I reckon, too.

Or custom made at huge cost.

Isn't there a way of 'de-tangoing' Gen4 lights though?

Can't this same technique be used? :think:

Gen 4 lights have an orange diffuser internally, the outer lens is always clear.
