Soaked my rusty nuts overnight in some of this;

it's basically alcohol, phosphoric acid and limonene.

Fair do's
I use fallout removers which essentially do the same thing in a far quicker time, that absolutely STINK of rotten eggs.

Coke, which contains phosphoric acid, will give the same effect.
