LO All :D

Got my Motegi Kit delivered yesterday 8-)

However the side skirts have seen better days :(

One side has both ends missing , the flat parts that face the tyres so is missing 2 screw fixing holes and also its missing 2 of the metal fixing brakets

The other side has all the brakets but one end has been re-glued back on very badly (its loose) , the fixings end , prob best to replace with new plastic.

Front and rear lips are fine.

I got a quote back to respray my rear bumper and my new front SiR lip with fitting of £230 , is this good :?: i thought so.

He says he can do plastic repairs so going by what i said should they be repairable :?: I can't post pics as i've cleaned them all-up a packaged them up ready to go in my car as i have my car booked in for the painting work on the 15th.

Although i got the whole kit for a good price i hope i don't have to throw the skirts away and find some more :(

Cheers ;)

So you was quoted £230 for a respray of rear bumper and front lip. Thats not a bad price. Make sure VAT is included and not £230+VAT. If it was me id be charging £230+vat.
You can repair the Motegi sides with a plastic welder. Quite simply you melt the crack back together with new plastic or the original plastic and shape with filler and then proceed with painting.
Find out how much to spray the side skirts WITH the repair. What about the rear lip?

I do Nitins "body" it works.

think about developing new sunday skills.

none of it is really that hard if you think about it and you will spend no more than £70. learn loads and loose a few sundays in the sun. worse things available :D

I agree with LLL, its fairly straight forward to do, its more time consuming than anything.

Pretty much. Once you know how to its easy. Even if i was to switch to rattle cans from spray guns id be able to get a nice finish (as nice as rattle can can be) .
