Finally got around to fitting mine.

Option A

But I have gone for Option B

Its not the best wrapping, (though only my first attempt, so I might have another go) or the best photo, but I like the metallic plug cover effect.

Just a quick refresh so far but I'm thinking of going for something a bit brighter then updating all the hoses to match.

This is the 'before' photo this afternoon before I started cleaning under the bonnet with Auto Glym engine cleaner. Looks a bit better now but my efforts removed even more paint from the valve cover.

I don't have cover to show but I do have a question

I am going to paint my rocker cover and I want to do it in a gloss coulour that doesn't come in VHT paint so it will be just regular 2pak or whatever comes in an aerosol..

So I'm just wondering will it last? Thought about doing VHT primer or VHT clear cout if there's such a thing.. Would this help? I'm no painter btw

You don't have to use vht paint. The rocker cover won't get hotter than 100deg c. I measured after heavy abuse.

I use my standards bodywork paint.
As long as the prep work is sound it will last.

Make sure you primer, Paint and lacquer within a day earthquake the paint and lacquer, that's when the crosslinking occurs make the paint bond better.

Is that where you pick it up with the paint still wet and with slightly oily hands and then shake the thing to death before throwing it across the room/garage/garden/wherever else you might be painting?
