I've got a plastic bumper i'd like to repair, It's pretty beat up with cracks and was dragged under the car so has parts worn away.

I was wondering if I could use some type of foam to shape and rebuild the parts that are missing

Or is there a better way?

Plastic welding?

i.e. soldering iron and bits of other bumper to melt into place..

Yeah I recon I can do the cracks like that.

I'm missing corners though so that wouldn't work for them (well I don't think)

Maybe add the missing corners in the same way and then put some fibreglass to the back for extra support?

:? I think fibreglass and filler are your only options.. that looks pretty bad to be fair.

I suppose sourcing a replacement is out of the question?

As above plastic weld the cracks then plastic weld new pieces of cut up bumpers from another car onto it. It can work well.

Reinforced with smc carbon fibre filler and shape with strong bodyfiller. Nitin makes a good bodyfiller.

I take it the PUR-R-RIM means it's a Polyurethane bumper

and would a normal soldering iron be hot enough?
