So as the title suggests im looking for some blank mirror plates so I can put some lighter and more aerodynamic mirrors on my 4th gen. .
I know I could just strip the mirrors to make them lighter but the standard mirrors dont go with the style im looking to achieve either..
if anyone has any info on where I can get some or has done something similar let me know..
All input greatly appreciated as usual

So you know, DC2 Integra plates are the same shape as 4th gen ones. Only one of the bosses doesn't line up, but you can just re-drill the door to pick up on it.

You know he's on about the triangles that the door mirrors are mounted to right, not universal mirror glass

Well I'll be a sone of a gun, I did not know that!
They are bound to make em for dc2's..
Brilliant piece of info there! Cheers Nath..
I do have some for a civic eg actually, wonder if they will do the trick
I was just looking on the net now and people in states seem to make there own plates from just alloy cut to shape and drilled..
might try that if dc2 ones are pricey..
I have searched the net a few times bud and never found them for ludes... everything but preludes like hah

Yeah, I have a set of DC2 Spoon rep mirrors. I bought them with the intention of making new mounting plates, but was pleasantly surprised when the DC2 ones fit perfectly

EG ones are miles off, I’ve checked - even trimming them helps in no way!
The only Prelude Spoon style mirrors I am aware of with the flat baseplates are made by Vision (or were), but there are only a handful of them around the world, never seen any in the UK.
As Nath says, people have made do with Integra baseplates, even Dino’s old white lude had genuine carbon Spoon ones from an Integra. There’s a set on ebay right now – the real deal but at £299 is somewhat steep!
They never seem to come up for sale in the UK, look on ebay.com and search worldwide from the states and there’s loads of cheap copies with the baseplates, the shipping bumps the cost up between £60-100ish.
And for the love of god, don’t order any from the UK. There is a brand (can’t remember the name) that lists DC2 Integras but having tried two different distributors they’re the same as the EG ones I have in the garage. They also have the triangle recess for the usual M3 / DTM / etc mirrors, like this:
You could make your own, I made some a while back with some ABS plastic, but the mirror area recesses in quite a bit so a flat piece of whatever does look a little odd. By all means have a go though.
Hope that helps. Cheers,
Rob
