I have heard storied about blocked sunroof drains. I have no reason to suspect mine are, but I would like to check all the same. Is there a guide somewhere on here? Is it easy to check if they are blocked?

im interested in checking mine too. @Bri showed me that you can access the drain pipe working by removing the interior roofing at the front & back at the sides which will be if they are blocked. as for the roof drain itself, he said the glass surround on either the back or front needs unclipping to then pull the drain plastic off

The sunroof drains exit either side of the boot, behind the interior trims.
The pipes come down into a rubber bung/plug, which is quite often where issues are found. I carefully removed the silly flap/flute bit to leave just a hole and have never had nay problems.
Obviously when you've checked at that end, pour a little water in the sunroof drainage channels and see if it flows out the back. If so, no blockage. Saves going to lots of hassle removing roof trim etc that you may not need to

Good advice, where exactly are the exits to the drains? Are they accessible from outside the car then?

if the car has been stood a long time it may be blocked further up the pipe but it would have to be stood or uncleaned for a long time

Yeah, either side of the boot is where they exit.
As merc rightly says they may be blocked further up, but best to start with the simplest solution first in my opinion and go from there if need be.

Any blockage will be at the bottom end. You need to remove the side boot linings to see them from the back and you shuld check them from that side really. If you only check them from the outside, they might seem unblocked when they actually aren't.

Agreed. I just meant they are visible from the outside.
I would also recommend checking from the inside as I found that the pipes on mine actually needed pushing further into the bungs.
