Lude Generation

Hey all,

Ok while a go off on another topic without fully satisfying my last to any foreseeable end I am getting quite obsessed with detailing my Lude... I am now in the process of swapping out teh cream interior for a black dash and red carpet and door cards (diy door cards but should do the trick and look hot). I already have a Motegi kit which is smexy, next are the wheels - Black alloys with silver rims like the wolfrace kendo or shark, and THEN playigfn with the idea of a CF bonnet to finish her off.................

Now prices are about 500-600 to buy which I am not a fan of, but if I buy a few from a chinese company (everything comes from china anyway) they can be bought for around £220. I buy a huge amount of stuff from china already for my businesses, but cant find a better way to acquire a CF bonnet unless someone is Magic with CF moulding and wants a commission work?

Anyway just putting this out there, the minimum order quantity is 5 peices for OEM style CF bonnet for a 5th Gen... Who wants in?


ON THE OTHER HAND... are CF bonnets gay?...

they dont do 4th gen shizzle as well do they, boots mainly?

Have a poker around the site, couldnt find any on there. but if someone can find a supplier on alibaba or somewhere that does do multiple CF parts then I am always open to suggestions....

From the looks fo the shop it would just be for Bonnets unfortunately.

is possible tehy will do me maybe 3 bonnets but I couldn't convince them to send just one...

i used to use alibaba a lot when i was a buyer the suppliers are normally open to new products they would want pieces to make molds/copies

Yeah, trouble is the costs in getting them the peices to make moulds from...

the problem isnt finding someone here to make them, its the price of the carbon fibre suplies, it just isnt feasable to make one for £220 over here, more likely your original price is closer to the mark.
supose it would be possible to cheat and use fibre glass just coated with carbon fibre, but how would you know the chinese copies are not done in this way, but even like this i still cant see how it could be done at that price.

cost of sending something to coppy? if they are any good a good CAD drawing would be enough, as most would use a cnc copy maker (just sculpts it out of plastic).

Hold tight, I'm planning on doing a CF boot lid in the next month or so Once I sell my type S intake I will be getting a job lot of moulding gel to do the interior parts too. Actually will this time!

I had an idea for a CF bootlid with an integrated mugen spoiler (5th gen), going to see if it can make it happen over the next couple of weeks hopefully.

Would also be very warey of the quality of the CF stuff from China, where I work we see a lot of chinese products and the quality of the materials are so poor (in some instances) the stuff falls apart. I would be worried about the quality of the resin inparticular
