1 I want to take my rear wiper arm of to paint it, how do I do it. The cover over the nut does nor seem to want to come off and I tried prizing it but I can see me bollocking it up as it does not want to shift?
2The black metal strip at the bottom of the rear window how do yo get that off also?

Thanks Paul :)

There are no numpty questions, only questions :D

1 - It has two plastic tabs to stop it coming off easily, I pried mine from the opposite side from where the arm leaves it. Use a cloth to stop damaging stuff.

2 - Open the boot, pull up the flexible part and you'll see the screws. Slacken these till they're up about half a cm then punch the screw down - this releases the clips.

It's been a while since I took the rear wiper off, so might be worth seeing if someone else has done it more recently in case I've remembered wrong. Wasn't the easiest thing to get off though.

If you are taking the weather strip under the window off, I'd buy a sheet of neoprene on ebay (A4 will be more than enough) to make some new sealing washers for the refit. The OEM ones will be pretty useless by now 8-)

You have to lever the plastic cover off from the bottom because of the two tabs that are located under the hinge part of the wiper arm.
It may be easier with the wiper arm hinged out away from the window.

Here is what the clip looks like for the rear window weather strip.
Undo the screw a few turns then gently tap it down. The whole clip should then pull out.
