Fixing grille to bumper?

Post by macky_6 » Sun Apr 15, 2012 8:25 pm

Hey all,

My lower grille (5th Gen) has been removed and replaced with a chicken wire-esque replacement

The amatuerishness of this has to be seen to be believed! (no pics, sorry :? )

Long term, i am gonna replace this, but for the purposes of getting the car to the Scottish meet on Sat i need to put this back on.

What can i use to affix this please?

In the slight possibility that i manage to pick up a lower grill at a local scrapyard, what would i use to mount this permanently?

Kind regards :D

as a temp bodge i suppose you could use no more nails or araldite
im assuming the mesh is shaped to affix on top of where the grilles been removed

im pretty sure whoever done this has actually cut off the grille bar ,pretty sure that lower grille is part of the bumper. yep just checked if you want the grille back its a new bumper im afraid mate :(

I used silicone on my Accord, worked ok until I went on the motorway and it came loose. In the end I put 3 bolts up through the bumper, hidden on the inner lip behind the licence plate, in addition to the silicone. Did the trick :D
