I managed to get my car flooded out some years ago, left it parked next to Thames at Richmond Lock , the water line had reached the seats! Towed it to local Honda dealer who got it running again and I have not had any further issues. Took a week to dry the interior using a dehumidifier and I never parked there again

I'm more interested in compressing a non-compressible liquidwurlycorner wrote:It's already been turned over, so if there was going to be any damage, then it's already been done...RattyMcClelland wrote:Remove the air intake and see if the inside of the throttle body is wet. You don't want to compress water trying to start the car and bend a rod.

If your car smells, take it to a place they can do an ozone treatment inside. At least thats something they can do in the netherlands. Don't know what its called in english.
But that will kill every bacteria or smell.
But do make sure all the moist is out first.
