Looks like they're missing brackets/clips on the bottom tbh

When I did my bonnet ones they were easy enough, big improvement on the... gravity bar?

The listing states the following fitment advise...

"The brackets bolt straight into the hole where the centre bolt that secures the wing is, and the oem hole in the bonnet"

hmmmm.....?

Ive just bought them, £14 posted.

The brackets fix to the bonnet/hinge using the top (when the bonnet is open) bolt. Then the other end is a ball joint. There should be a small circlip/pin that you remove to seperate the joint. Remove the central top wing bolt and screw the ball fixing in its place. Then connect it all back up.

Apologies for the pic, but it gives you an idea...

Anyone use these or similar on cf hoods?

I wouldn't recommend using them with a carbon or fibreglass bonnet. As it is with an OEM bonnet once you've lifted it halfway the struts then take over they're that strong. I wouldn't fancy closing a carbon bonnet too many times with all that leverage and the struts counteracting right down at the hinge points. You'll probably rip the thread inserts right out.

haha yah i figured as much i was just curious. I can picture the hood flying open and breaking in half when trying to close it down.

be careful when bolting the ball joint into the wing rail as they are brittle so go gently and dont try to torque them in
